Jane Murray was born in Bryan, TX on June 19, 1956 to Harold and Freeda Murray. She had two older brothers, Mike and Steve Murray. Growing up in College Station, TX, she graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. Jane worked for her father in his crop-dusting business flagging flight paths in the Brazos Valley as a teenager. Later, she was employed as the Chief Cashier at the local K-Mart for a few years. Her mother passed away when Jane was 20 years old.
In 1980, Jane married William T. Marcom, Jr. and moved to the Houston area for a few years before relocating again to Bryan, TX. Jane and her husband later moved to Fort Worth in 1983, where she raised her two children.
Jane's life purpose was being a loving mother to her two children and caring for her extended family. She loved being a homemaker, was an excellent cook, loved animals, and enjoyed spending time with friends. She was a 5th generation Texan and was proud of her family's heritage. She is survived by her two children Weston and Laura Marcom, three grandchildren - Wyatt, Emerson, and Eva. She spent many happy moments visiting her grandchildren and maintained a long list of friendships over the years. Jane cherished her time spent with those she loved, especially around the holidays.
Plagued with rheumatoid arthritis for 30 years, she overcame many hardships in day to day life. Although she struggled with her health, she kept a positive attitude for all she went through. Jane passed peacefully with her immediate family bedside on March 8, 2024 in Dallas.
