Eduardo Rivera Santiago was born on November 6th, 1942, in Bacolod City, Philippines, to Marcelo Santiago and to Teodora Santiago, and passed away on April 2nd, 2024, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the age of 81 years old.
Eduardo went to school and graduated at the University of Santo Tomas in Manila, Philippines, with a degree in business. He worked for the IRS. After that, he worked for the Army and for the Air Force Exchange for over 30 years, where he was also assigned to Vietnam, Panama, South Korea, and other temporary duty assignments. Eduardo also worked at Wal-Mart after retirement for 20 years.
Eduardo loved fishing, especially deep-sea fishing. He also enjoyed doing leather work as a hobby, as well as photography. Dad also liked going on cruises with family. Work was always part of his life. Dad instilled in us the value of life and hard work.
Dad was a hard worker, intelligent, friendly, laidback, and liked anything fun or funny. His hobby and true passion was fishing. He enjoyed doing crossword puzzles every morning.
Eduardo is preceded in death by Marcelo and Teodora Santiago (parents), Danilo Santiago (brother), Marcelo Santiago (broth), Belen Gementera (sister), and Corazon Javelona (sister).
Eduardo is survived by Nenita Santiago (spouse), Michelle S. Standridge (daughter), Eduardo J. and Marc Santiago (sons), Angelita Herrera (sister), many nieces and nephews, along with lifelong friends from family and work.
A service will be held in Eduardo’s name on April 13th, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.
