Billy Jack Davis, age 87, passed away on August 11, 2020 in Azle, Texas. Born on February 22, 1933 to William and Vivian Davis in Trinidad, Texas, Billy grew up in Fort Worth with his older sister, Lauretta Lawler. He graduated from Masonic Home and School of Texas at the age of 16 before attending Tyler College for 2 years and then Baylor for his final year on a college scholarship. Billy served his country in the US Navy from April 22, 1952 to April 19, 1956 aboard the USS Coral Sea where he traveled the world. He worked in offshore drilling before going to work and then retiring from the Railroad. He also coached softball, pewee football, and basketball for 30 years. Some of his teams included his son, Vaden, daughter, Kellye, and his grandsons, Bubba, Shane, and Hunter.

Billy Jack Davis was a loving father, grandpa, and great-grandpa (lovingly named Big Paw Paw). He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Lauretta. Billy is survived by his children, Vaden Davis and Kellye (Rusty) Hammond; grandchildren, Bubba (Brandi) Hammond, Shane (Chelsea) Davis, and Hunter (Samantha) Hammond; great-grandchildren, Addison Hammond, Liara Hammond, Logan Hammond, and Benjamin Hammond, as well as extended family and dear friends.

Funeral services are pending.
