Donnie Hall, born on April 12th, 1945 in Kerrville, TX to Henry and Grace Hall passed away on August 10th, 2020 in Dallas, TX at the age of 75. He grew up in Odessa, TX with siblings Geraldine Lambert and Linda Ethridge. Donnie graduated from Permian High School in Odessa and went on to receive a Bachelor's degree from Odessa College before proudly serving in the Marine Corp during Vietnam 1966-1967. Donnie married the love of his life Ronda Scroggins Hall on May 23rd, 1985. He was versatile throughout his career; working in the oilfield, owning and operating several businesses, including: DNC Pumps & Equipment, Permanent Lining Systems, and was a co-owner of Fun Wills Yamaha. However, his ultimate passion was cross country driving with his Wife for FedEx Custom Critical, retiring in 2012. He lived the majority of his life in Odessa, TX and moved to Dawson, TX to be closer to his family in 2006.

His hobbies included fishing, gambling, playing cards, watching TV and fixing wind chimes. His favorite sports teams were the Texas Tech Red Raiders and the New Orleans Saints. He loved watching anything on the Sci-Fi network and packed with action movies. His love and adoration for animals surpassed all, he regularly donated to several charities including: St. Judes, Wreaths Across America, The Humane Society, The Alzheimer’s Foundation and many more. Donnie was a family man to the core and the absolute best Husband, Son, Brother, Father, Grandfather (GPA), Great Grandfather, Great-Great Grandfather, Uncle and friend anyone will ever meet.

Donnie Hall was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Grace Hall, and Daughter, Wendy Hall. He is survived by his Wife Ronda Hall and Daughter Cendy and Bubba Morris of Dawson, TX. His fur baby Simba. He has 4 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 with one on the way great-great grandchildren. His siblings, Geraldine Lambert and Linda Ethridge, Susan and Robert Haddox and Nancy & Curtis Britt. He has many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held in Dawson, TX in October of 2020. Please email any pictures you have of Donnie to his Granddaughter Ashley @

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation in Donnie’s name to The American Lung Association/COPD which was especially important to Donnie.
