Ivan Duaine Coffey, of Venus, Texas, passed away on April 29, 2018 at the age of 69 years. Ivan was born in Allegan, Michigan to Donald and Verta on May 13, 1948. Ivan served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived in Oklahoma most of his life and, in January of 2016, he moved to Texas to live with his son, Ivan Duaine II, and his family. Ivan loved to barbeque and smoke meat, watch football, play video games, and enjoyed the company of dogs. He was a loving brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend.
Ivan Duaine Coffey is preceded in death by his parents, Donald Kenneth Coffey and Verta D. Coffey; brother, Donnie Coffey; and brother, Virgil Coffey. He is survived by his children, Heather Oakley (Ralph) of Roxboro, NC, Ivan Duaine Coffey II (Jeri) of Venus, TX, and Donald O. Shaw of Bridgeport, TX; grandchildren, Hannah and Jackson of Roxboro, NC, Karington, Hunter, Robert, and Kacey of Venus, TX, and Hannah, Rylee, and Kodi of Bridgeport, TX; great-grandchild, Dyson of Venus, TX; siblings, Eva Schoonover (Jim) of Coffeyville, KS, Patty Gowens (Leroy) of Miami, OK, Kathy Cunningham of Quinton, OK, and Ron Coffey (Linda) of Springdale, AR, as well as several nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
