John Patrick Seidel was born December 2, 1964 in Los Angeles, CA to Richard and Billie Marie Seidel.  John grew up in the city of Walnut, CA along with his three sisters; Carolyn Cox, Mary Cox and Patti Seidel.  While growing up John developed a deep passion for both Art and Martial Arts.  John eventually went on to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from California State University Fullerton, as well as, a 4th Degree Black Belt and Instructor Certification from the American Taekwondo Association.  John’s passion for the arts led him to pursue a career in Special Education where he served countless children and families over the past 25 years.  In 2007, John fulfilled his dream of opening his own Martial Arts School, Eagle Martial Arts in Benbrook, TX.  With a career spanning 30 plus years, John has inspired, encouraged and mentored countless children, youth, adults and families.

In 1986 John met the love of his life, Stephanie.  The two were married July 28th 1990.  Over their 28 years of marriage, the couple was blessed with three exceptional children and an unmeasurable amount of love and memories.  Nicholas Patrick (26) was born June 13th 1991, daughter, Sydney Victoria (22) born May 4th 1995 and Noah Ryan (20) born December 24th 1997.  John was a strong man of faith and belief in God.  He and Stephanie attribute the love and success of their marriage and family to trusting wholeheartedly in the love, grace and protection of the Father.

After battling cancer for 11 months, John made his transition to his Heavenly home Saturday, April 28th 2018 peacefully at his home in Fort Worth, TX.  John is survived by: wife Stephanie, sons Nicholas and Noah, daughter Sydney, daughter-in-law Shelby, sisters Mary and Patti, his extended family and martial arts family.

Send Condolences

Melissa Duvall May 06, 2018
Mother of a student, Fort Worth Texas
I would like to send my condolences to John's family and friends. He was a great man. He worked with my son at Fossil Hill Middle school when my son returned back to public school for his 8th grade this current school year. I hope he knew what a wonderful impact he was in my child's life and the lives of the others he helped. He will be truly missed.
