Walter C. Lane, 62, passed away in Benbrook, Texas on October 25, 2019.  He was born on August 31, 1957 in Fort Worth, Texas to Charlie and Helen Lane.

Walter grew up in Benbrook, Texas where he went to Western Hills High School.  He then went on to work as a mechanic and truck driver.  Walter was a proud dad and pop-pop! He loved being with family and friends and loved racing cars, working on them, along with hunting and fishing. 

Walter is preceded in death by: parents, Charlie and Helen Lane; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Walter is survived by: daughter Elizabeth Allen and husband Robert; grandsons Laythum Lane, and Rhett Allen; sisters Sudie Sherrard, and Becky Lowery; brother Randy Lane; ex-wife Teresa Lane; mother-in-law Billie Hamlet; fur child Jude; best friend Todd Vinson; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and many amazing friends. 

A Celebration of Life will be held at the American Legion Post 297 (8201 Old Benbrook Rd, Benbrook TX 76126) on November 2, 2019 from 2-6, come and go. 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider making a donation in Walter's name to the Autism Society (https://www.autism-society.org/get-involved/donate/); American Heart Association (https://www.heart.org/); or your local animal shelter.

Knew his ex wife daughter grandson and son in law , Mansfield TX Texas
Knowing Walter’s ex wife, daughter and grandson, I knew he was loved because they always talked about him and included him in the events I had occasion to attend with him and those events they told me about. I know Walter loved them because he was there.
