The wonderful gift of life was given to Dylan Cole Ford on the 21st day of November 1994 in North Richland Hills, Texas to parents Sherri Ford (Sneed) and Mark Ford.  Dylan Cole Ford (also known as “Duke”) was called home on November 6, 2018 into his heavenly father’s loving arms.

He is survived by his parents Mark Ford (Shelly) and Sherri Ford, his brother Chase Ford, step brother Jeramy Allen, Grandfather Jim Ford (Mary Ann), Uncle Jody Sneed (Gail), Cousins Joshua and Matthew Sneed of Midland, TX, along with multiple lifelong close friends, and adopted families, locally and in distant towns too.

On November 8th, a candlelight vigil was held after sunset at Foster Village Park, attended by numerous friends and family who released balloons with written messages of their last goodbyes in his memory.

Duke was a naturally gifted athlete that loved and excelled in travel ice hockey, golf, (making varsity in his high school freshman year) baseball and skateboarding.  Dylan also was an aviation enthusiast, loved drag-racing and the smell of nitromethane from top fuel cars.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting nominal donations to the Salvation Army which can be made at the following site:  Salvation Army

Nature’s first green is gold, Her hardest hue to hold. Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then leaf subsides to leaf. So Eden sank to grief, So dawn goes down to day. Nothing gold can stay. I wish you could have stayed gold Love, Ms. D

I wish you strength in this most difficult time. Know that you have the love and support of many just as Dylan was loved by so many. There are few words that can ease the pain you carry, but perhaps you can take some consolation in knowing that he is at peace now. We miss our loved ones when they are no longer here with us in this physical world, but we may take some consolation in knowing that their souls have moved on to a higher and better place and will still be with us forever. I hope you can soon find that peace.
