Audrey Jean Love, 92, of Canyon, went to be with the Lord on August 9, 2018.
Audrey "Jean" Love was born on October 26, 1925 to Otto Lehnick and Leatha Lehnick Fullerton in Groom, Texas. She was a graduate of Happy High School. She married Carroll Ned Love on August 15, 1942 in Clovis, New Mexico. She lived in Tulia, Canyon, and Breckenridge. She was a Chiropractic Assistant for Dr. West for 14 years.
In 2007, she received outstanding volunteer award from Happy for the many faithful hours she spent volunteering and for the numerous aprons and pillows she made for Alzheimer’s patients.
She made Christmas stockings for impoverished children and assisted at nursing homes playing cards and games with the residents.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Otto Lehnick and Leatha Lehnick Fullerton; step-father, Ray Fullerton; husband, Carroll Ned Love; two sons, Roy Love and Gary Michael Love; along with her brothers, Curtis Lehnick and Edward “Ed” Lehnick; and nephew, Jerry Lehnick.
She is survived by her son, Kevin Love and wife Maggie; along with her daughter, Deborah "Debbie" Love; daughter-in-law, Sonja Love; three granddaughters, D'Carla Love, Kecia Love, and Courtney Love; along with nephews, Greg Lehnick, Mark Lehnick; and niece, Debbie Talley.
A memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the 6th Avenue Church of Christ with Howard Morris, officiating. The family requests any gifts or donations go to High Plains Childrens Home, PO Box 7448, Amarillo, TX 79114.
